Job summary

Texbuilt is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer for our Dallas, TX office. This role is designed to grow into a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Preconstruction Manager.

You will assist in bid scope, coordination with subs, contract logistics, and schedule updates while supporting site evaluations and field activities. Local candidates are strongly preferred for this Dallas-based opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related area preferred.
• Experience in commercial construction is preferred, but not required.
• Well organized and able to accomplish a variety of tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
• Must be goal oriented.
• Ability to identify, investigate and quantify onsite issues, with corresponding resolutions and consequences.
• Strong leadership potential with desire to learn and grow.
• Willingness and ability to relocate with assigned jobs.
• Night and weekend work may be required.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Computer knowledge and efficiency, with the ability to learn specific web-based and software applications: SharePoint, Procore, Bluebeam, Phoenix Scheduling Software

Responsibilities

• Assist in bid solicitation, takeoffs and bid scope review.
• Conduct subcontractor reference checks.
• Expedite contract execution and receive insurance certifications.
• Prepare submittal logs and material delivery logs for the field.
• Lead effective meetings and develop project schedules.
• Prepare and present monthly Project Status Reports (PSR).
• Read and interpret project specifications for field execution.
• Review submittals & shop drawings with Superintendents.
• Support weekly project schedule updates and coordination meetings.
• Maintain RFI logs and coordinate with trades.
