Job summary

Job description

Matchtech is working with a key client in Dallas to support the recruitment of a Construction Project Manager. This is a permanent position and requires onsite working.

Our client, a leading company in the transmission and power distribution sector, is seeking a proficient Construction Project Manager for their mission critical projects in Dallas. This permanent role involves supporting the EPC Project Manager or Program Manager in overseeing operations from pre-construction through to completion and warranty periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety programs, trainings, and policies, and manage Safety & Health performance of team members and subcontractors.
  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring successful project execution.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and setting critical project objectives.
  • Manage client relationships and interface with clients for proposal and project-related items.
  • Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
  • Implement sections of the Project Execution Plan including construction execution, quality assurance, and safety plans.
  • Secure all applicable project permits and oversee the development of project plans for site layout and mobilization.
  • Review, approve, and present internal and external project reports including budgeting and cash flow forecasts.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, with relevant project management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in construction project sites or program management in industries such as aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transportation, transmission & distribution, or water preferred.
