Job summary

Homebound in Dallas is seeking a results-driven Pre-Construction Project Manager to lead residential projects from lot acquisition through vertical construction start. You will coordinate across Architecture, Design, Procurement and Field teams using our proprietary PM platform to keep velocity and precision.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in residential construction PM, strong reading of drawings, and a practical understanding of North Texas permitting.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in Residential Construction Project Management, Architecture, or Project Development.
• Experience in production homebuilding or high-volume urban infill is highly preferred.
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings, comprehend civil engineering plans, and navigate zoning requirements.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for all Dallas-area projects, shepherding them through the pre-construction lifecycle (due diligence, consultant coordination, and permitting) with a focus on speed-to-market.
• Schedule & Risk Management: Utilize Homebound’s tech platform to build and manage project schedules, identify dependencies, anticipate bottlenecks, and compress schedules where possible.
• Market Expertise: Navigate the nuances of DFW-area municipalities, managing relationships with the City of Dallas, suburban building departments, and HOAs/Architectural Review Committees.
• Design Coordination: Partner with Architecture & Design teams to optimize lot-specific plans for site conditions, zoning, and cost efficiency.
• Construction Handoffs: Deliver ready-to-start project packages to the Construction team for seamless vertical construction mobilization.
