  • Handle discovery, hearings, mediations, depositions, settlement activities, and trial preparation
  • Appear in court as appropriate based on experience and readiness
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, and internal team members
  • Manage case deadlines, priorities, and next steps effectively
  • Work closely with paralegals and support staff while maintaining responsibility for legal work product
  • Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies
  • Participate in case reviews, training, and professional development activities
  • Maintain accurate and timely time records and meet applicable billable-hour expectations
  • Utilize legal technology and case-management tools to improve efficiency and quality

Our client is a growing Dallas-Fort Worth litigation firm focused on representing clients in a variety of complex civil disputes. The practice primarily handles matters involving real estate, title, business, construction, insurance defense, and related civil litigation.

The firm provides attorneys with meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to work on cases from initial filing through resolution, while benefiting from a strong legal and operational support team.

About The Role

Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney with solid civil litigation experience, strong legal writing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to take ownership of assigned matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to develop broader litigation experience, increase courtroom exposure, work directly with clients, and take greater responsibility for managing cases.

Key Responsibilities

Ideal Candidate
  • 2-5 years of meaningful civil litigation experience.
  • Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
  • Located in or able to work in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
  • Hands-on experience with pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, depositions, mediation, or trial preparation.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
  • Real Estate Litigation
  • Title Litigation
  • Business Litigation
  • Construction Litigation
  • Insurance Defense
  • Other transferable civil litigation
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of assigned cases and work independently.
  • Good judgment and the ability to recognize when issues require senior-level guidance.
  • Professional, organized, responsive, and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working in a structured, technology-focused environment.
