Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• Approximately 5–10 years of practicing attorney experience.
• Civil, insurance defense, commercial, or related defense experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Experience handling discovery, depositions, mediation, and motion practice.
• State and federal court experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clients with practical legal advice and strategic case guidance.
• Evaluate liability, damages, coverage issues, defenses, and potential exposure.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, reports, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives.
• Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other court proceedings.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution.
• Manage discovery, experts, deadlines, and case-development strategy.
• Assist with trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, recommendations, and resolution strategy.
