Higgins & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Market Lead for the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas market.

The candidate will provide client-facing leadership, guide project delivery, and drive business development while applying deep engineering knowledge to complex investigations and repair designs. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in engineering consulting, strong knowledge of building envelopes and codes, and experience with litigation support, insurance evaluations, and expert testimony.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from ABET-accredited university in civil, structural or architectural engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Arizona is required.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in engineering consulting, including business development and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong client relationships, positioning the firm as a trusted partner.
• Serve as technical lead, guiding team members on engineering best practices while ensuring codes and standards compliance.
• Perform field inspections, site visits and investigations, guiding others in these duties.
• Assess and provide opinions on civil/structural engineering, building enclosures, roofing systems and exterior facades.
• Develop engineering reports detailing opinions supported by codes and best practices.
• Develop repair designs and supervise quality assurance during repairs.
• Support mediation, arbitration, and trial activities as requested by clients.
• Provide technical advice to clients including attorneys and insurers.
• Communicate clearly to ensure deadlines and cost targets are met.
• Lead and mentor team members to produce effective engineering deliverables.
• Manage resources to support project delivery and business development goals.
• With BD team, pursue and secure new business opportunities aligned with firm objectives.
