Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. in the Dallas, TX area is seeking a full-time Operations Manager to oversee highway maintenance operations.

The role covers debris removal, lighting, structure maintenance, vegetation management, street sweeping, and guardrail work, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Candidates should have at least five years of related experience, strong leadership, and traffic control expertise.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of related industry experience.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint; basic Google Earth skills.
• Experience leading construction crews and scheduling work.
• Must have Traffic Control experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, including scope of services, contract requirements, organizational structure, staffing, work plans, budgets, fleet management, vendor management, reporting, inventory, quality control, training, and continuous improvement
• Manage key financial indicators with Project Manager; demonstrate improvement against budget and prior periods
• Lead by example, ensuring professionalism, responsiveness, and quality in all business conduct
• Collaborate with Project & Regional Managers to address client issues and enhance operational efficiency
• Recruit, develop, retain, and reward a talented workforce while ensuring compliance with standards
• Conduct career evaluations for direct reports and field staff
• Responsible weekly planning and scheduling of work
