Qualifications

• Minimum five years of related industry experience.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint; basic Google Earth skills.
• Experience leading construction crews and scheduling work.
• Must have Traffic Control experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, including scope of services, contract requirements, organizational structure, staffing, work plans, budgets, fleet management, vendor management, reporting, inventory, quality control, training, and continuous improvement
• Manage key financial indicators with Project Manager; demonstrate improvement against budget and prior periods
• Lead by example, ensuring professionalism, responsiveness, and quality in all business conduct
• Collaborate with Project & Regional Managers to address client issues and enhance operational efficiency
• Recruit, develop, retain, and reward a talented workforce while ensuring compliance with standards
• Conduct career evaluations for direct reports and field staff
• Responsible weekly planning and scheduling of work

Our maintenance operations are comprised of professional engineers, certified quality control inspectors, and experienced maintenance technicians with proficiency developing and executing highway infrastructure maintenance contracts throughout the United States. Position Summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Operations Manager to perform and oversee highway maintenance operations in Dallas, TX area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, including but not limited to debris removal, highway lighting, structure maintenance, vegetation management, street sweeping, guardrail repair, and more. Adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen company policies and procedures. Salary: Depends on experience, licenses, and certifications.

Schedule

Full time; Must be flexible and work varying schedules including nights and weekends if needed.

Required Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of industry related experience
• Basic knowledge Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Earth Strong
• Leadership qualities; must have experience in overseeing, directing and leading construction crews.
• Strong organizational skills for scheduling & work planning as well as oversight of maintenance crews to ensure work execution/completion
• Must have Traffic Control experience

Preferred Experience

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Experience with projects using TXDOT standard specifications
• CDL A

Clean driving record is essential

Must pass criminal background check.

Qualifications

• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Operating and maintaining company vehicles and equipment
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditionsCapable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools
