Job summary

Austin Allen Inc. in Fort Wayne, IN, seeks a hands-on Quality Assurance Manager to lead food safety and quality programs in a growing dairy operation. This on-site role offers a salary of $100,000–$120,000 plus bonus, benefits, and paid relocation to the Upper Midwest.

You will lead QA and laboratory teams, oversee audits, and partner with Operations to drive continuous improvement and a strong safety culture across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience managing QA in food manufacturing; dairy experience preferred.
• Science-based background in a related field.
• Experience with SQF, GMP, HACCP, and food safety audits.
• Knowledge of laboratory testing, microbiological analysis, and environmental controls.
• Experience developing and improving quality systems and procedures.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Collaborative, servant-leadership approach with accountability.
• Self-motivated and able to work across departments.
• Flexibility to support off-shift operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the QA and laboratory teams.
• Oversee food safety, quality systems, laboratory testing, and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate and improve QA programs, policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Manage microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and product quality standards.
• Lead food safety audits and ensure GMP/HACCP/SQF compliance.
• Partner with Operations and Maintenance to drive continuous improvement.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and a strong food safety culture.
