Indiana Ag Connection seeks a Laboratory Manager to lead the Quality Assurance laboratory at a 24/7 dairy-focused food manufacturing facility in Columbus, Indiana. This senior role requires a strong background in chemistry and/or microbiology and proven leadership of a ~18–20 person team.

You will oversee testing, environmental monitoring, trend analysis, and collaboration with Production and Quality to ensure food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across the operation.

Formación

• PCQI certification is required.
• Background in chemistry and/or microbiology is required.
• Experience in food manufacturing is required; dairy experience is a plus.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a dairy/milk laboratory.
• Bachelor of Science in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead QA activities within the laboratory and plant monitoring activities conducted by technicians.
• Coach and develop laboratory staff and hold them accountable for performance and quality standards.
• Review QA testing records, identify trends, and escalate deviations or out-of-spec results.
• Plan and manage environmental monitoring programs (air, water, pathogens, allergens).
• Schedule calibration and preventive maintenance of lab equipment and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain laboratory supply/inventory programs and support purchasing.
