Lactalis Heritage Dairy in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Supervisor/RSPC on 2nd shift to oversee milk receiving, inventories, production, and sanitation, under the RSPC Manager. Responsibilities include analyzing daily operations, maintaining production specs, coordinating manpower, and collaborating with Quality Control for product quality and sanitation compliance.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma (Bachelor's in Dairy Science/Chemistry preferred) and dairy experience.

Qualifications

Dairy or related experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Dependable team player.
Basics mathematical skills to calculate averages.

Responsibilities

Analyzes and evaluates daily operations and their impact on plant performance.
Proposes and debates alternative methods to solve problems.
Works with management to set policies, procedures, and goals.
Reviews technical problems and recommends procedural changes.
Monitors inventories of milk, cream, starter, and production materials.
Ensures production specs meet standards and fat/protein loss is minimized.
Reports production problems to the RSPC Manager.
Assists with planning and scheduling manpower to meet production needs.
Collaborates with Quality Control and Lab teams on material quality and sanitation.
Coordinates production activity with the RSPC Manager.
Continuously evaluates staff and department performance.
