Job summary

Cayuga Milk Ingredients is seeking a Production Planner & Scheduler to develop and maintain the master production plan for dairy processing and packaging. You will forecast demand, balance milk supply, and coordinate across departments to maximize yield while meeting quality and SQF requirements.

Responsibilities include releasing production orders, maintaining schedules, and ensuring accurate planning records within the ERP system.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in production planning and scheduling.
• Experience in food manufacturing or dairy processing strongly preferred.
• Experience using ERP or MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Master Production Plan for dairy processing and packaging operations.
• Generate and distribute daily and weekly production schedules to multiple departments.
• Release production orders and manufacturing work orders through the ERP system.
• Communicate schedule changes promptly to prevent delays or shortages.
• Plan production schedules to balance raw milk with finished product requirements.
• Monitor production yields and identify opportunities to improve milk utilization.
• Review ERP-generated orders for accuracy before release.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align schedules with capacity and packaging.
