Job summary

Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) is seeking a heavy production worker at its Portage, WI facility to support cheese and dairy processing operations.

The role emphasizes food safety, quality, and efficient packaging on the process line. You will operate packaging equipment, assist with sanitation, monitor weights and coding, and help train new staff while following GMP, HACCP and safety policies to prevent contamination and waste.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Food manufacturing experience in the dairy/cheese industry preferred.
• Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMPs, OSHA and loss control programs highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain sanitation and housekeeping throughout the plant.
• Monitor product weights, coding, uniformity and packaging.
• Report safety, food safety and quality issues to supervision.
• Assist with training new employees and provide maintenance support as needed.
