Job summary

Lactalis USA in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is hiring a Production Supervisor to lead production, maintenance, and quality control. You will drive safety, efficiency, and on-time schedules while coaching hourly staff and coordinating cross-functional teams.

You will collaborate with the Production Manager and HR on labor relations, training, and continuous improvement. This role requires flexibility for shifts and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business, Food Science, Engineering or related field (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring and/or delegating work to others in a manufacturing facility.
• 3+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment; dairy/cheese experience preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop, engage, and retain a large team of hourly associates.
• Strong communication, time management, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical/critical thinking skills.
• Strong accountability, consistency, and follow-through skills.
• Proficient computer knowledge with SAP or other manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Implements and enforces safety programs and safe work practices through plant safety teams and initiatives.
• Partner with Production Manager and site leaders to achieve productivity, efficiency, customer service, cost, quality, safety, and engagement goals.
• Meet production schedules to achieve business goals.
• Ensure yields and efficiencies meet budgetary and corporate standards.
• Provide direction, leadership, and development to direct reports and coach on continuous improvement projects.
• Coordinate with supervisors and functions to optimize operations and resources.
• Build strong working relationships and foster collaboration across teams.
• Mentor team members and work with HR on labor relations issues.
• Coordinate repair work with maintenance to minimize downtime.
