Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Business, Food Science, Engineering or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of leadership or mentoring experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years in a food manufacturing environment; dairy/cheese experience preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop, engage, and retain a large team of hourly associates.
• Strong communication, time management and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient with SAP or similar manufacturing systems; MS Office skills.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and on-call as required.

Responsibilities

• Implements and enforces safety programs and safe work practices.
• Partner with the Production Manager and site leaders to achieve productivity, efficiency, and safety objectives.
• Meet production schedules to achieve business goals.
• Ensure production yields and efficiencies meet budgetary standards.
• Provide direction, leadership, and development to direct reports.
• Coordinate with maintenance and other functions to optimize operations.
• Train and develop team members through mentoring and coaching.
• Coordinate repair work with maintenance team.
