Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company is seeking a Tower Operator to run and maintain cheese towers and related equipment at our facility. The role requires English proficiency, basic computer skills, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends.

Preferred candidates have High School diploma or GED, SAP experience, and dairy manufacturing background. Safety and sanitation are foundational to all tasks in this role.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Able to operate basic computer systems and software.
• Willing to work 12-hour variable shifts, including weekends/holidays.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cheese towers and related equipment.
• Ensure correct operation and follow procedures for assigned equipment.
• Identify flows from raw materials to packaging.
• Troubleshoot plant equipment and processes.
• Maintain operation and sanitation of CIP/COP systems.
• Perform in-process sampling and report issues affecting safety/quality.
• Participate in training, coaching teammates, and buddy training.
• Prioritize food safety and adhere to safety and sanitation policies.
