Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company in Dalhart, TX, is seeking a Tower Operator to run and maintain cheese towers and related equipment on 12-hour shifts. You will follow procedures, troubleshoot equipment, and support safety, sanitation and food safety standards in a dairy production facility.

The role requires basic computer skills, SAP experience, and a High School diploma or GED, with the ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work weekends/overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• English proficiency to understand, read, write and speak English.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Must be able to work 12-hour variable shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain Cheese towers and related equipment.
• Identify flows from HCVs to packaging and complete Product Transitions.
• Troubleshoot and communicate plant issues with related equipment and/or Process.
• Maintain operation and sanitation of all Typical Day equipment including CIP, COP, and inspections.
• Perform in-process sampling as assigned.
• Notify management/maintenance of problems affecting Safety, Food Safety or quality.
• Learn and operate computer-related processes and controls.
• Participate in training and development activities and coach/train teammates.
• Prioritize safety and follow food safety policies and procedures.
