Job summary

Byrne, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on dairy processing equipment, including full breakdowns and rebuilds of production lines to ensure continuous operations.

Qualifications

• GED or High School diploma preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within the mechanical field.
• Proficiency with VFDs, conveyors, pumps, pneumatic valves, and PLCs/instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on dairy processing equipment to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to restore production lines and work with PLCs and automation.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systems to monitor processing parameters.
• Conduct routine inspections of facility infrastructure and identify issues before impact on production.
• Maintain maintenance records and coordinate with production to schedule repairs during downtime.
