Saputo Inc. in California is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production machinery and electrical systems, including pumps, conveyors, motors, PLCs, and VFDs.

The role emphasizes GMP compliance and safe work practices. You will work with operators, observe machine performance, perform troubleshooting, weld and fabricate parts as needed, and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

High School graduate plus a minimum of two (2) years’ industrial maintenance experience within Dairy, Food, and/or Beverage industry or a combination of experience, formal training and education.
Working knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance.
Effective troubleshooting skills; must be able to systematically diagnose electrical and/or mechanical problems.
Working knowledge of AC & DC power and control voltages, PLC, VFD drives and process instrumentation.
Basic computer hardware and software skills.

Responsabilités

Diagnose cause of malfunction by observing, tests, and evaluating operation of machinery and equipment.
Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
Repair, replace, adjust, and align components of machinery and equipment.
Test-runs repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
Welds to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
Work on PLC controls, VFD drives and instrumentation.
Communicate effectively with operators, visitors and vendors.
