Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Tipp City, OH, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of technicians and maintenance specialists.

You will manage preventive and corrective maintenance, read blueprints and electrical schematics, and ensure operations run smoothly while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of leadership experience (3–5 preferred), familiarity with ammonia refrigeration, and experience with industrial motors and controls.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of leadership experience required.
• 3–5 years leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems beneficial.
• Ability to read/sketch blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of industrial motors and motor controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with hiring the site maintenance team to ensure continuous operations.
• Make work assignments, promote positive employee relations, teamwork and accountability for results.
• Coach team members and administer discipline as required.
• Monitor and oversee maintenance activities to ensure continuous operations.
• Record and deliver coaching/disciplinary action as necessary.
• Work with team to improve plant KPIs and operational metrics.
• Maintain commercial refrigeration systems, including Freon and ammonia.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements and complete required documentation.
• Forecast, budget, and assist with managing the department budget.
