Job summary

Land O’Lakes is seeking an Controls & Instrumentation Engineer for our Kent, OH Dairy Foods plant. You will design, develop, install, manage and maintain equipment to monitor and control machinery and processes, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

You will work with operations, maintenance, purchasing, design and Corporate Engineering. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of manufacturing/processing experience, or an Associate degree with 5+

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of manufacturing/processing experience or an Associate degree with 5+ years of related skills.
Experience with ladder logic and text-based programming and function block concepts.
Proficient with computer-aided design/drafting software to develop and detail machine controls designs.
Knowledge of electrical/electronic components and troubleshooting/programming.
Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
Strong written and verbal communication across levels and vendors.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain control systems for production equipment and processes.
Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and Purchasing to improve equipment efficiency and automation.
Design, install, commission, and support control systems and process parameter changes.
Troubleshoot/control programming and support plant safety and reliability.
Travel as needed to support projects and site deployments.
