Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a controls and electrical engineering professional to support a single plant, with occasional assistance to other locations. You will gather information, organize documentation, and help implement engineering plans for construction, expansion, or renovation.

The ideal candidate holds an undergraduate engineering degree (preferably electrical), 2–4 years in a food-industry setting, and experience with HMI, ControlLogix, electrical schematics, and pump/VFD

Qualifications

Undergraduate engineering degree with emphasis on electrical engineering or related field.
2–4 years in a multi-disciplinary technical role in the food industry, preferably dairy.
Experience with HMI and ControlLogix programming, one-line & schematics, pump and VFD control.

Responsibilities

Gather and provide information on controls, electrical design, construction, and maintenance matters.
Organize and maintain process controls and electrical engineering documentation to support stability and efficiency.
Support implementation and upkeep of control plans; coordinate with vendors and contractors.
Track capital budgets and equipment schedules for plant construction or expansion.
Communicate project priorities, timetables, and budgets with DFA employees.
Review specifications for process controls and electrical engineering; identify cost-saving improvements.
Stay informed about engineering practices; support GMP and regulatory requirements.
