Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking an electrical/process controls professional to assist with site construction, expansion, and equipment/facility design at a DFA plant.

Responsibilities include supporting controls engineering, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and ensuring GMP and regulatory compliance across projects. Strong documentation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate engineering degree (prefer electrical) or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years in multi-disciplinary technical work in food industry.
  • Experience with HMI, ControlLogix, one-line and electrical schematics.
  • Certification and/or license may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and provide information on controls, electrical design, and maintenance.
  • Organize process controls documentation to support stability and efficiency.
  • Coordinate projects with vendors and contractors for engineering plans.
  • Track capital budgets and equipment schedules for plant construction or expansion.
  • Communicate project priorities, timetables, and budgets with DFA staff.
  • Review technical specs on drawings and literature for process controls and electrical engineering.
  • Identify cost-saving improvements and share technical insights.
  • Follow GMP and regulatory requirements.
