Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in New Wilmington, PA is seeking an Electrical/Controls Engineer to support new site construction, expansion, and equipment and facility design for a single plant, with occasional assistance to other DFA locations on controls-related projects.

You will gather and organize process controls information, review specifications, coordinate with vendors and contractors, monitor budgets and schedules, and help ensure GMP, food safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate engineering degree (preferably electrical).
• 2–4 years of multi-disciplinary technical experience in the food industry.
• Experience with HMI and ControlLogix programming, one-line and electrical schematics.
• Certification and/or License – may be required.

Responsibilities

• Gather and provide information on controls, electrical design, construction, and maintenance matters.
• Organize and maintain process controls and electrical engineering documentation.
• Support the implementation and upkeep of process control plans for the assigned location.
• Track and update budgets and equipment schedules for projects.
• Coordinate activities with vendors and contractors on engineering plans.
• Communicate with DFA employees on projects, priorities, timetables, and budgets.
• Review specifications and contribute to cost-saving measures and technical insights.
