Job summary

Farm Job Search is seeking a Dairy Farm Herdsman for a 500-cow Holstein dairy in east central Wisconsin. The role includes heat detection, artificial insemination, IV administration, assisting with birthing, drawing blood, and managing timed AI protocols.

You will work with a veterinarian and dairy support staff, with training of other employees expected. Junior partnership is possible for a top performer, and health insurance after 90 days plus a weekly day off or every other weekend are

Qualifications

• Experience in dairy herd management and animal handling.
• Ability to perform medical/dairy procedures with precision.
• Willingness to train other employees and work with a veterinarian.

Responsibilities

• Perform heat detection and timed AI protocols.
• Assist with artificial insemination and calvings.
• Administer IVs and draw blood as needed.
