Job summary

Select Milk Producers, Inc. in Texas is seeking a seasoned FSQA Manager to oversee daily quality assurance and food safety at the production facility.

You will develop, implement, and maintain QA programs ensuring compliance with company standards, GFSI, and NSF requirements while guiding PCQI oversight. As leader of the QA team, you will manage audits, train staff, review documentation, and present QA status to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Dairy Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field, or five years dairy lab testing experience in the last ten years.
• Master’s degree in food science or related field is desired.
• Strong knowledge of USDA, FDA, and state regulations for dairy facilities.
• In-depth understanding of HACCP, GFSI standards (SQF), and NSF certification requirements.
• Ability to lead QA personnel and coordinate audits.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant quality through microbiological testing reviews and trend analysis.
• Review Certificates of Analysis, release inventory, and product classification.
• Audit sanitation and GMP/HACCP compliance across departments.
• Lead QA teams and coordinate GMP, HACCP, and GFSI training.
• Represent the company in third-party and regulatory audits (GFSI, customer, government).
• Prepare weekly and monthly QA/QC reports for management.
