Overview

To ensure guest service and departmental operation are maintained in the dairy/frozen food department.

Pay starts at $14/hour.

Responsibilities

  • Provide polite, friendly interactions with all guests and co-workers.
  • Stock, rotate, and condition all dairy/frozen products on shelves according to Lowes Foods standards and productivity guidelines.
  • Maintain a neat and safe work area for guests.
  • Organize, inventory, rotate, and date overstock in coolers/freezers.
  • Minimize damage and shrink through proper inventory control and product handling.
  • Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery.
  • Order milk, eggs, and other dairy/frozen products to maintain proper stock levels and inventory control.
  • Maintain organized paperwork related to ordering and stock loss documentation.
  • Ensure sanitation standards are met on the sales floor and in coolers/freezers.
  • Perform front-end duties as needed to uphold the “no noticeable wait” standard.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs. occasionally and 40 lbs. constantly.
  • Ability to read and understand information and directions.
  • Knowledge of dairy/frozen food operations.
  • Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
  • Effective communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to work around temperature fluctuations.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull carts, and operate a pallet jack for extended periods.
