Job summary

Food Lion is hiring for a Perishable Department associate in Gastonia, NC. The role focuses on providing quality customer service, maintaining standards, and maximizing sales through excellent service while minimizing shrink.

You will handle receiving deliveries, stocking, and ensuring proper product levels in meat, lunchmeat, dairy, and ice cream sections. Responsibilities include friendly customer interaction, assisting with ordering and inventory tools (ACIS, CAO), adherence to safety

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, accurate service.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, coding, rotation, and stocking of merchandise.
• Ensure proper product levels in Perishable Department (meat, dairy, dairy products).
• Follow safety and company guidelines; maintain a clean and sanitized department.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform and name badge on duty.
