Job summary

Harris Teeter in Reston, VA is seeking a Full Time Dairy/Frozen Management Assistant to supervise up to 10 associates and assist the Department Manager with direction, coordination and evaluation of the department.

You will help with interviewing, training, planning and directing work, and ensuring Dairy/Frozen standards are met while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. 18+ required, on-site role with strong customer service focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with basic computer and inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage and supervise up to 10 associates in the Dairy/Frozen Department; assist the Department Manager with direction, coordination and evaluation.
• Interview and train associates; plan, assign and direct work; assist in appraising performance and addressing problems.
• Process/stock products according to Dairy/Frozen Standards; keep areas clean; provide customer service; unload stock and reload salvage.
