Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Dairy & Freezer Clerk to maintain dairy and freezer sections, ensure proper stocking, rotation and product integrity. You will support merchandising, inventory control and food safety standards while delivering excellent member service.

The role emphasizes fast, accurate execution, attention to detail, and teamwork within a busy perishables department. A strong work ethic and 18+ age are expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in dairy, freezer, grocery, or retail operations preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cold chain management, food safety standards, and product handling requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Email) preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure planogram integrity in dairy and freezer: stock items per company standards.
• Maintain cold chain and in-stock accuracy to ensure freshness and availability.
• Apply FIFO rotation to reduce waste and maintain product quality.
• Conduct quality and date checks to uphold food safety standards.
• Follow cleanliness and sanitation standards in coolers, freezers, and shelving.
• Monitor pricing and signage to avoid customer confusion.
• Support seasonal merchandising and cross-department collaboration.
• Demonstrate regular attendance to support club operations.
