Job summary

Rise Baking Company in Minneapolis seeks a Senior Procurement Lead to develop and manage sourcing strategies for dairy and egg commodities. You will negotiate contracts, supervise supplier relations, and drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets for commodity materials, and optimize procurement processes with ERP systems such as SAP/ Great Plains. Strong analytical and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in purchasing, supply chain, or related field, or 7+ years of equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in sourcing or supply chain leadership for commodity materials, dairy or eggs preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Great Plains) and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and alignment of sourcing strategies for dairy and egg commodities.
• Negotiate best price, quality, and service for dairy & egg materials.
• Establish commodity risk mitigation strategies and supplier relationships.
• Oversee contracts and negotiations with suppliers and coach others to do so.
• Set and deliver budgeted plans for commodity materials.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and establish sources for new technologies and markets.
• Lead cost-saving programs with suppliers (volume discounts, terms, lead times).
• Establish standard operating procedures for purchasing and monitor their effectiveness.
• Monitor supplier compliance with contractual agreements.
• Assist with other supply chain analysis and initiatives as required.
• Support food safety program and legality of products.
