Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Customer service cycle experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Able to obtain Food safety certification within 1 month.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition and subtraction).
• Adherence to safety, regulatory and Dairy guidelines including PPE.
• Strong teamwork and adaptability.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Orders, receives, and merchandises products following proper guidelines for merchandising, rotation, sanitation, pricing, mechanizing, and quality standards.
• Consistently replenishes products to ensure freshness and visibility.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all Dairy products as well as non-Dairy items throughout the store to respond to customers’ needs.
• Maintains signage and keeps the department orderly and clean.
• Responds to questions and provides information to help customers make product selections.
• Ensures product processing, labeling, dating, and pricing meet department standards.
• Creates an welcoming environment and delivers courteous customer service.
• Adheres to federal, state, local and La Montañita Food Cooperative regulations for product safety and quality.
