Giant Eagle, Inc. seeks a Dairy Lead to direct dairy department Team Members, order perishable and non-perishable products, and drive merchandising initiatives enhancing growth and profitability. You will assist the Grocery Manager in supervising staff and fostering a culture where every teammate thrives.

The role emphasizes teamwork, leadership development, and delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining safety and compliance across the department.

Qualifications

• Experience required: 3 to 5 years.
• Prior experience in grocery/dairy or related field recommended.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Lifting requirement: Up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement merchandising plans to meet department financial objectives.
• Control department costs by monitoring and improving operations to increase profitability.
• Direct and evaluate training to reduce turnover and control labor costs.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment meeting health and OSHA requirements.
• Communicate with other departments to develop marketing plans aligning with store objectives.
• Analyze customer satisfaction and surveys to identify improvement areas and address issues.
• Maintain accurate department records for activity documentation.
• Ensure procedures meet out-of-stock goals and standards.
• Promote employee development and identify candidates for leadership programs.
• Adhere to Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Support a safety culture including food, team member, and customer safety.
• Demonstrate effective suggestive selling and customer service as a differentiator.
• Engage in an inclusive environment valuing diversity and respect.
