Job summary

Uncle G’s Marketplace in New York is seeking a Dairy Clerk to join a friendly, fast-paced team and help customers find dairy products. You will support displays, pricing, stocking, and daily department needs, while learning through training at nearby gourmet stores to ensure you feel at home.

The role emphasizes great communication, teamwork, and a positive attitude as you interact with customers and fellow staff in a dynamic grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a team player and enjoy working within a grocery market.
• Must be able to speak, read and communicate in English.
• Position requires great communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Dairy Department Manager and assist in unloading merchandise for refrigerator placement.
• Assist in unpacking cartons and assist with pricing all items as directed.
• Monitor all store shelves within the Dairy Department and arrange it according to stock tags.
• Coordinate with Dairy Management on all Dairy store displays and end caps.
• Manage all Department merchandise and assist in pull out of all out of code products.
• Log in all damaged and out of date products within the Department.
• Assist all customers with questions, directing them to the correct isle or answering any direct question they might have on a product.
• Maintain knowledge on current sales and advertisements within the dairy department and correct store location of all Dairy products.
• Other duties and functions as assigned.
