Job summary

Price Chopper Supermarkets in New York is seeking a Dairy Department associate to support the Grocery Manager with daily operations and to ensure exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include merchandising, pricing, stocking, planograms, displays, rotation and inventory control to promote sales.

You will oversee clerks in the dairy department, train new associates, and enforce sanitation and pricing procedures across the dairy area. 18+ required with strong teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Store excess product in cooler or designated area.

• Unload warehouse merchandise from trucks.
• Training and development of new dairy associates.
• Control shrink through adherence to policies and procedures.

Assists the Grocery Manager with budgeted and achievement of financial aspects of the department. Oversees clerks within the dairy department and monitors for proper merchandising, rotation and inventory levels of dairy product to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Responsible for providing a high level of customer service and courtesy at all times.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times. Responsible for smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request. Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times. Assist the Grocery Manager with the daytoday operation of the dairy department to include product merchandising, pricing, stocking, signing, planograms, displays, rotation and inventory levels. Assist with the ordering of all merchandise and supplies for the dairy department and meeting transmission times. Store excess product in cooler or designated area. Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times within the total store. Front end services may be required as business needs necessitate. Ensure that all company and state sanitation and pricing procedures and regulations are adhered to within grocery operations. Unload warehouse merchandise from trucks. Assist with the training and development of all new associates in dairy operations. Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Pay Range: $19.50 - $24.00
