Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America seeks a production worker to operate and monitor continuous flow or vat-type equipment processing milk and dairy products. You will review specs, control blending operations, and ensure quality and safety standards are met in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires teamwork, attention to detail in documentation, and the ability to follow directions and operate standard equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse/production experience preferred.
• Certification/license may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Review quality, safety and product specifications.
• Monitor blending equipment per component specs.
• Control valves, pumps, speed, and temperatures to meet standards.
• Adhere to testing procedures and provide samples to lab.
• Clean and sanitize equipment; follow manufacturer instructions.
• Observe and test system operation with gauges and instruments.
• Dismantle/assemble refrigeration equipment as needed.
• Communicate with departments and report issues impacting production.
• Document information according to SOPs.
• Support process improvements with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Report food safety/quality issues to management immediately.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Follow DFA GMPs and regulatory requirements.
