Cape Cod Post Acute is seeking a Medical Records/Central Supply Coordinator to join its team. The role combines medical records management with central supply operations, supporting accurate documentation and reliable supply delivery for resident care.

Located at a 135-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care facility, the position emphasizes HIPAA compliance, attention to detail, and teamwork to ensure high-quality resident services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• Experience in medical records or healthcare setting desirable.
• Ability to learn EMR systems and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage resident health information for accuracy and HIPAA compliance.
• Create and maintain medical records for new admissions.
• Maintain organized records in paper and electronic formats.
• Audit records at admission, during stay, and discharge for standards.
• Upload and maintain documentation in the EMR system.
• Process medical record requests per policy and confidentiality.
• Keep closed records in line with retention guidelines.
• Respond to inquiries regarding medical records professionally.
• Assist central supply operations: receiving, organizing, distributing supplies.
• Monitor usage and maintain appropriate par levels for resident care.
• Support ordering, stocking, and organization of central supply areas.
• Perform other duties to support records integrity and supply chain efficiency.
