Job summary

Piedmont Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to provide safe medication administration and documentation under nurse supervision. Responsibilities include verifying orders, resident identity, charting, stock management, and adherence to facility policies.

Requires NC CMA or CNA cert and active CPR, with strong English communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current Medication Aide Certification or Nursing Assistant Certification from NC.
• Must have a current/active CPR certification.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered.
• Verify orders with written, signed, and dated physician orders.
• Verify resident identity before administering medication.
• Ensure medications are not misassigned between residents.
• Document refusals and charting as directed by Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Assist with medication charting and ensure adequate floor stock.
• Order prescribed medications and supplies per procedures.
• Maintain narcotic accountability for the shift.
• Follow policies on destruction of medications and report discrepancies.
• Review medication cards for accuracy and stop orders.
