MC Community Services is hiring Daily Living Support Workers to join our newly launched Section 17 adult services team serving Penobscot and Piscataquis counties in Maine. This is hands-on, in-person work with adults living with serious mental illness — in their homes and out in the community, helping with the real, everyday things that keep people independent.
You’ll help with daily routines, meal prep, personal hygiene, budgeting, and appointments, and build the skills and confidence people need to stay safe and healthy in their own homes. For many of the people we serve, this support is what keeps them out of crisis and in their community. This is W-2 employment — you are an employee, not a contractor, with real supervision and a team behind you.
We provide paid training to earn your MHRT-1 certification. You get paid while you learn, and you walk away with a credential that opens doors in behavioral health across Maine.
$20–$21/hr starting pay, paid MHRT-1 training and certification, a seasonal bonus program (currently active April–September), tiered PTO that grows with your tenure, retirement savings through MERIT (Maine's state program), dental and vision reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, paid holidays, mileage reimbursement, and clinical supervision from our Clinical Director, Joanna Preble (LCSW, LADC, CCS).
Must be 18 or older. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Maine driver's license and reliable transportation. Comfort working in clients' homes and communities. MHRT-1 certification is a plus but not required — paid training provided. Background check clearance.
