Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to inspect and repair pumps and valves.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment principles and DAF operation.
• Ability to perform laboratory tests and interpret results.
• Familiarity with PLC/HMI systems for monitoring.
• Understanding of BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, pH, EC.
• Commitment to regulatory compliance and detailed record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor DAF systems to ensure efficient separation of solids, oils, and grease.
• Conduct routine inspections of DAF units, pumps, valves, and related machinery.
• Follow the Master Schedule to perform daily cleaning and operational checks of the DAF system.
• Adjust and maintain chemical feed systems to optimize DAF performance.
• Monitor EQ tank levels, flow rates, and system pressures for stable operations.
• Collect wastewater samples and perform laboratory tests (pH, DO, turbidity, TSS, ammonia, BOD/CBOD).
• Maintain and calibrate instrumentation (pH meters, DO probes, turbidity meters, flow meters).
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate complex problems to Maintenance leadership.
