Job summary

Able Dental in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Dental Assistant to support the dental team with patient care in a front and back office role. You will assist during procedures, prepare rooms, and uphold sterilization standards to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of experience, Dentrix skills, and a valid dental assisting credential. The schedule is Mon–Thu, 9am–5pm, with a lunch break, at Able Dental’s clinic location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Dental Assistant program preferred.
• Active Dental Assistant certification/license (if required by state).
• X-ray certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dental instruments and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and rooms
• Take and process dental X-rays in compliance with state regulations
• Review medical history and update charts
• Provide chairside assistance and patient support
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
• Ensure infection control and sterilization procedures

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations, restorative procedures, and other treatments
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and process dental X-rays in compliance with state regulations
• Review patient medical history and update charts
• Provide chairside assistance, including suctioning, passing instruments, and patient support
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene instructions
• Ensure strict infection control and sterilization procedures are followed
