Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Guymon, Oklahoma is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on department machinery. You will use torque wrenches, dial indicators, calipers and micrometers to diagnose issues and ensure timely repair.

Responsibilities include disassembling and repairing various equipment, following supervisor instructions, and working safely at heights on ladders or scaffolds. Prior mechanical knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of tools and mechanical components.
• Ability to identify switches, valves, and controls.
• Demonstrated ability to dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment.

• Have thorough knowledge of department components and equipment locations.
• Perform minor maintenance such as bearing replacement, chain setting, oil/lube maintenance and minor trouble shooting skills.
• Work overhead on a ladder or scaffolding in high areas.
• Dismantle, identify, repair, and put back into service all types of machinery in the department in a timely manner.
• Must take daily instructions from supervisor and carry out assignments and duties with little or no supervision.
• Must be able to use precision instruments such as torque wrenches, dial indicator, calipers and micrometers as the job requires.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Must be able to dismantle, identify, repair, and put back into service all types of machinery in the department in a timely manner.
