Job summary

First Responder Protective Services (FRPS) is seeking a professional Armed Security Agent to join our team for assignments throughout the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The role involves high-end security work, including a mix of uniformed and plain clothes operations.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of PPO license experience and prior law enforcement or military background is preferred. This PT position offers evening/overnight shifts with potential for promotion and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level III Texas Commissioned Security License.
• Must have active Level IV Personal Protection Officer (PPO) endorsement.
• Must be current on firearms qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working under a PPO license.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License or ability to obtain prior to hire.

• Ability to sit, stand, or drive for extended periods.
• Must be reliable, professional, and capable of operating independently or within a team.

Position: Armed Security Agent (Part-Time - Greater DFW Metroplex)
Region: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
Pay: $27.50 - $35.00 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
Status: Part-Time (W2)

Position Summary

First Responder Protective Services (FRPS) is seeking a professional Armed Security Agent to join our growing team for assignments throughout the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. These roles involve high-end security work including a mix of uniformed and plain clothes operations. This is not entry-level security work. We support corporate, private, and institutional clients seeking highly trained, polished professionals -not gas stations, liquor stores, bars, clubs, or concert venues.

Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working under a Personal Protection Officer (PPO) license . Prior law enforcement or military experience is strongly preferred.

• Must currently hold a Level III Texas Commissioned Security License
• Must have an active Level IV Personal Protection Officer (PPO) endorsement
• Must be current on firearms qualification
• Minimum 2 years of experience working under a PPO license
• Valid Texas Driver’s License (or ability to obtain prior to hire)
• Favorable driving history
• Ability to sit, stand, or drive for extended periods
• Must be reliable, professional, and capable of operating independently or within a team
• Must be willing to work both uniformed and plain clothes assignments as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior law enforcement or military service
• Experience in executive protection, school/campus security, or corporate security
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to follow strict client appearance and conduct expectations

Uniform & Equipment

• FRPS provides: Uniform shirt, hats, cold gear in winter, and OC spray .
• Agent must provide: Ammunition, Firearm (must be on FRPS-approved list), and minimum Level 2 retention holster. for uniformed roles; pants and black boots.
• Dress code for plain clothes assignments ranges from casual to business professional, depending on the client and operation

Compensation & Advancement

• Hourly Pay: $27.50 - $35.00 (based on experience and assignment)
• Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly via direct deposit
• Status: W2 employee (eligible for overtime after 40 hours in a workweek)
• Flexible schedules with shifts available during evenings, overnights. Mostly working Friday-Sunday
• Opportunity for promotion to full-time status with full benefits package (PTO, medical, 401(k)) -FRPS promotes from our part-time roster exclusively.
• Medical Insurance Contribution: FRPS will contribute up to $300 per month toward your health insurance coverage through one of our offered medical plans, should you choose to enroll.
• 401(k): Eligible to participate after 6 months of employment, with company matching contributions up to 4% (depending on employee contribution).
• Dental and vision insurance available.
