Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree in Histotechnology or higher with NAACLS program completion.
• Minimum one year of related laboratory experience in histology or clinical setting.
• Eligible for HT (ASCP) certification; certification not strictly required.

Responsibilities

• Embed routine specimens with proper orientation and document QA issues.
• Perform microtomy on tissue specimens at appropriate thicknesses.
• Stain slides (H&E) manually or with automation and ensure stain quality.
• Prepare slides for pathologist review and manage QA/QC documentation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot histology equipment and follow safety procedures.
