Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Cytotechnologist for the Richmond Health Source Shared Services team to stain, mount, and study cells under a microscope to detect precancerous, malignant, and infectious conditions. You will perform complex lab tests following established protocols and ensure accurate pathology documentation.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, completion of a Cytotechnology Program, CT certification, and at least three years of clinical lab experience; on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry or Medical Laboratory Sciences) is required.
• Completion of Cytotechnology Program is required.
• Ability to work independently within a team and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Stain, mount, and examine smears under a microscope to evaluate specimen quality.
• Provide data to assist pathologists in pathology reports.
• Maintain laboratory safety and specimen handling standards.
• Document analysis results into the hospital system for patient records.
• Monitor supplies and equipment inventory and place orders as needed.
