South Bend Medical Foundation in Indiana is seeking a Cytotechnologist/Cytologist to join our team. You will examine gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens, identify cellular changes, and collaborate with pathologists to deliver accurate, timely diagnoses in a patient-centered environment.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree, completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program, and CT(ASCP) certification or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Successful completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program or another qualifying educational pathway meeting federal personnel standards.
• Current CT(ASCP) certification or eligibility to obtain certification within an approved timeframe.
• Strong microscopic evaluation skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening of gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens.
• Identify normal and abnormal cellular findings and refer challenging cases to pathologists.
• Assess specimen adequacy and participate in rapid on-site evaluations as needed.
• Maintain quality records and participate in regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
