Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a Cytologist to join our laboratory team. You will perform cytological analysis of benign and malignant conditions and identify unusual findings in preparations. The role supports hospital pathology services and requires precision and teamwork.

The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. A Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology with ASCP certification or eligibility is required; two years of Cytotechnology experience may substitute for education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or allied health sciences and CAHEA/ASCP approved program.
• ASCP board certification or eligible; must be certified within one year of hire; CMP if certified after 2004.
• Two years of Cytotechnology experience may substitute for the educational qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform cytological analysis of benign and malignant conditions.
• Identify unusual findings including insufficiency in the preparations.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
