Formación

• Graduate from CAAHEP or CAHEA accredited cytotechnologist program.
• Current licensure as required by state board: PA no license; WV cytotechnologist license.
• ASCP cytotechnologist certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform and analyze according to SOP, basic and complex diagnostic procedures to produce accurate results.
• Assist Physicians with FNA specimen adequacy determination.
• Prepare reagents and solutions accurately for testing.
• Restock work area and FNA carts with supplies.
• Prepare and accession patient specimens with proper labeling.
• Evaluate information and resolve specimen-related issues per policies.
• Conduct QA/QC procedures to ensure reliable results.
• Troubleshoot issues and document corrective actions.
• Verify abnormal or panic results and notify care team with documentation.
• Participate in education and training of staff as required.
• Assist in training and evaluation of new employees per policy.
