Job summary

KA Recruiting Inc. is seeking a Cytotechnologist in Nashville to examine cells on glass slides to detect diseased conditions, pre-malignant and malignant cells.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with duties including slide screening, QA/QC, and data documentation. The candidate must have two years of college, graduate from an approved School of Cytotechnology, ASCP Cytotechnologist certification, and a Tennessee Cytotechnologist License, plus ongoing CE for certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of college education completed.
• Graduation from an approved School of Cytotechnology.
• ASCP Cytotechnologist certification is required.
• Valid Tennessee Cytotechnologist License.
• Maintain continuing education for certification and licensure.

Responsibilities

• Examine gynecological and/or non-gynecological slides daily following department protocols.
• Record findings in the computer system and maintain daily screening and departmental logs.
• Identify and rectify issues that may impact test performance or result reporting.
• Communicate relevant information to supervisors or appropriate personnel.
• Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshoot methods when required.
• Assist in documenting and maintaining effective QA/QC programs.
• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security practices and regulatory guidelines for protecting sensitive data.
• Follow the Corporate Compliance Program and policies.
