Stormont Vail HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Cytotechnologist to perform microscopic screening of gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens, recording findings in the EMR and producing accurate reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree specializing in cytotechnology required.
• Follows OSHA guidelines and safety procedures.
• Proficient in scientific principles, procedures, and protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize work.
• Ability to perform math operations and interpret graphs.
• Must be Cytotechnologist CT registry eligible or pass registry within six months.

Responsabilités

• Screen slides using microscopic technique to detect abnormal or cancerous cells.
• Record findings accurately in the medical record.
• Identify and mark cellular abnormalities; collaborate with pathologists.
• Assist with fine needle aspiration collection and evaluation.
• Correlate cytologic findings with biopsy results.
• Receive and process gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens; produce slides.
• Maintain proficiency testing and ensure workload recording.
• Assist with teaching, training and mentoring interns and trainees.
• Support department leadership in budgeting, policies and procedures.
